David J. Pigott is an attorney with a record of leadership and service — in law, in the military, and in his community. Licensed in New York and Colorado, he represents clients in personal injury and family law with a steady, solutions-oriented approach built on integrity and experience.

Before founding Pigott Law Group, Mr. Pigott practiced law in Denver and worked for several respected public agencies, including the Adams County District Attorney, the Manhattan District Attorney, and the Colorado Attorney General. He has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts, combining courtroom skill with an understanding of how to resolve disputes efficiently and fairly.

Mr. Pigott earned his J.D. and MBA from the University of Colorado and graduated from West Point with a degree in Systems Engineering. He served as a U.S. Army officer for over five years, completing two combat tours in Iraq where he led hundreds of patrols. His awards include two Bronze Stars, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal. His badges include the Combat Action Badge, the Parachutist’s Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.

In 2017, he deployed again to the Middle East as an Operational Law Attorney, supporting artillery operations and training allied forces on the Law of Armed Conflict. Today, he continues to serve in the National Guard’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps, contributing to national security, homeland defense, and disaster-relief operations. He also provides training to foreign militaries and has lectured at the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies. From 2018–2022, he represented victims of sexual assault in the military, ensuring they received confidential, independent counsel through sensitive investigations.

Mr. Pigott founded The Brick Foundation, a nonprofit that began by supporting a Peace Corps project in Malawi and now advances humanitarian and anti-trafficking efforts around the world. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Boulder Hockey Club (2018–2025) and previously supported the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce and Broomfield FISH.

Outside the office, Mr. Pigott is a devoted father and lifelong hockey player. He approaches every case with the same principles that have guided his life — discipline, empathy, and the belief that service to others is the highest calling of any profession.
